Platinum Jubilee Wishing Tree with Sophie Handy | 10:30am – 6pm

We’ve been inspired by the Queen’s Green Canopy project to have a green theme for some of the jubilee activities. You will have the opportunity to create your own green canopy pledge for Droitwich Spa’s Platinum Jubilee Wishing Tree.

Think about what a difference you can make this year. Your personal green pledge... What changes can you make, big or small, to your everyday life that will help make a difference. Plant a tree? Cycle to work? Refill and Reuse? Fix that leaking tap? Grow your own vegetables? Wash at 30 degrees? Together if we each make a little everyday change, we can have a big impact to help protect our blue and green planet for the future.

Decorate your own personal leaf, write your pledge and make that commitment as you tie it onto our special Platinum Jubilee Wishing Tree. Be the change you want to see.

Decorate Droitwich Spa Paper Flower Making with Georgie Elsom | 10:30am – 6pm

Hopefully many of you will have already made red, white and blue paper flowers that are decorating the town for the celebrations. There is an opportunity to make another on the day to either add to the decorations or take home with you as a memento of your day.

My Heart, My Heart: Live Poetry Jukebox with Adie Mueller | 11.30am – 1.30pm & 2.30 – 4.30pm

Step into the Poetry Jukebox for an intimate and magical experience of poetry, visual art and performance. This interactive installation works like a music jukebox, only with poetry. You are invited to look at the beautiful library of jars, each containing a miniature artwork that expresses a feeling or idea connected to a poem. Choose one you feel particularly drawn to and listen to a live performance of ‘your’ poem! My Heart, My Heart: Live Poetry Jukebox is an exciting, novel way of experiencing poetry and offers moments of beauty, calm, and reflection.
