Mapping Creative Freelancer Support
In early 2023, the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) Cultural Leadership Board (CLB) contracted Curiosity Productions to map support for freelancers in the cultural sector and creative industries in the region.
The main purpose of the mapping was to provide a comprehensive picture of the support and resources currently available to freelancers in the region, and to identify potential gaps or opportunities. The report resulting from this work will inform potential regional cultural strategy and help direct strategic decision making around development of any future support.
The report, and its accompanying database includes any support available to creative freelancers in the West Midlands including mentoring, training, seminars, information sources, networks and funding - from around before March 2023.

We will also be presenting some of our findings at the West Midlands Combined Authority's Freelance Skills Launch Event, on Thursday 28th September.
