Curiosity Club Artists

Curiosity Club is our project that runs during school holidays, providing children ages 5 to 13 with a safe and inclusive holiday club where they also take part in creative activities.

Our artists provide our Creators with a unique creative activity each afternoon, ranging from dance to music to drama.

Janeel Brown

Bio

Janeel is a drama facilitator who enjoys delivering sessions for young people to foster creativity, imagination, and grow the social skills crucial for the development of children during their formative years; Has previously worked for the Birmingham REP, being an assistant director for both youth theatre and productions with professional actors.

As well as running drama workshops on a freelance basis, he also works full-time for Open theatre company where he applies his skills to work with young people with learning disabilities to give them the space for creative expression through non-verbal drama sessions

Sohan Kailey

Bio

Hi everyone I am Sohan Kailey a Performing Artist, Bhangra Dancer, Storyteller and Entertainer.

I provide interactive and immersive workshops throughout educational and community establishments from Bhangra dancing, Indian Storytelling in schools, chair based dance for older people, workshops at festivals and events. I enjoy bringing out the best in children so that they get to enrich their lives.

My passion is to spread the joy of music, dance and the arts and promote cultural diversity, community cohesion, diversity, inclusion and healthier and happier lifestyles!

I have worked with various arts and theatre organisations.

Bio

Hi, I’m Gemima and I work as a workshop leader in a few different creative capacities.

I teach music, dance and drama and love song writing with groups and sharing creative experiences in lots of different ways!

I am also part of a few local bands and love performing.
